We don’t buy into the stereotype that nonprofit employees should be compensated less than their counterparts in the for-profit sector. Our employees bring value to our organization and the community, and we recognize their talents with competitive compensation. We also offer annual performance-based and cost-of-living raises, and annual bonuses whenever possible.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
We offer our team members opportunities to learn and grow in their current position and beyond through participation in industry conferences, seminars, and other training. We plan an annual retreat to rejuvenate the team, get everyone excited and united around our mission, set goals, and build bonds between team members.
HEALTH INSURANCE SUPPORT
Your health is important to your quality of life. After ninety days of employment, employees receive up to $300 in additional wages each month to help offset the cost of their medical insurance premiums.
VACATION & SICK LEAVE
All employees are eligible for vacation and sick leave benefits. Vacation leave accrual begins after three months of employment. Sick leave accrues on the first day on the job and may be used after 90 days of consecutive employment.
BALANCE BETWEEN WORK & FAMILY
For some positions, we offer the option of a four-day workweek. We are also closed on weekends as it is important to us that we all have time for family, friends, and personal downtime. Our cooking staff members may rotate a short shift on Saturdays.

All employees who work a minimum of 5,000 hours per year qualify to participate in our SIMPLE retirement savings plan that includes a 3% employer match. We call it, “free money” and encourage all eligible employees to participate.

It may seem like a small thing, but after all, we are a restaurant and spend most of our time thinking about food for others. That includes our team, and we stock the break room with food, snacks, and drinks for our employees to enjoy. We all have times that we forget to eat breakfast, bring a lunch or just need a snack.
